Wavelink Maritime Institute (WMI) and Vopak Singapore collaborated to develop a course for maritime professionals working at terminals. The one-day programme aims to equip participants with basic skills and knowledge necessary for performing mooring operations.
12 participants from Vopak Singapore signed up for the inaugural training programme on 24 November. Held at WMI, the course took place at the WMI Full-Mission Bridge Simulators, where participants learned about mooring operations from both the shore and the shipboard perspectives.
Back at the classroom, WMI General Manager Capt. Lee Sang Chiat covered the theoretical and practical aspects of mooring operations. The session enhanced participants’ knowledge and understanding of their day-to-day operations.
