From 10 to 13 October 2025, 33 SMOU senior members and their families embarked on a 4-day, 3-night journey to Beijing — a trip filled not just with sightseeing, but with friendship, shared wonder and warm memories.
After arriving on an overnight flight, the group visited Gubei Water Town, located at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall. With serene canals, rustic courtyards, and cobblestone paths, it felt like walking into a real-life postcard.
Nightfall brought a breathtaking highlight: the Great Wall Music Water Dance Show, where lights, water and pyrotechnics danced in perfect harmony — a magical opening to the adventure ahead.
The next day, members explored the scenic Juyongguan Great Wall before stepping into the Forbidden City.
Together, they wandered past towering gates, intricate courtyards and centuries-old relics, pausing often to capture photos, swap stories and soak in the historic atmosphere.
Later, the members continued their stroll along Qianmen, enjoying traditional snacks and browsing charming shops filled with memorable souvenirs.
As the trip came to a close, the group returned home not just with souvenirs, but with hearts full of joy and connection.
And as members parted ways, one question lingered…
