There’s a certain kind of excitement that surrounds 14 February. Valentine’s Day fever strikes again all over the world.
Down in Singapore, love was in the air as 31 couples stepped into Lighthouse Bistro for their special date night. There was a door gift waiting for every guest. Valentine couples spent the evening with their other half over a four-course Valentine-themed cuisine. Spanning from ages of twenties to seventies, SMOU couples showed that love never grows old.
Among them, there were first-timers who were ‘young’ couples and those who have been married for decades.
Dominic Prasanth Joseph (SMOU member of 4 years) and his girlfriend of 5 years, celebrated Valentine’s Day at Lighthouse Bistro for the first time. He thought that the deal was great and the food and staff are always great.
“It was a great dining experience”, said Dominic. What stood out most for Dominic and his partner was the size of the beef served. “It was so huge, we were both surprised at the size.”
Cheng Thye Meng, an SMOU member of 46 years, celebrated Valentine’s Day with his wife. Also a first-timer for the event, the couple showed that they can keep their fire burning for many more years to come.
Underneath all that glitz surrounding Valentine’s Day is a mixture of excitement and the chance for couples to show their loved ones how much they care.
Looking at the smiles all around, SMOU members celebrated their day of love in a memorable way.
