SMOU team consisting of Kelvin Lin, Dominic Yong, Queenette Chen and Mohamad Asraf, met with the captain and officers of MV Maersk Huacho, a newly built 15,000TEU container vessel and APL Merlion, a 17,000TEU container vessel.

On both occasions, the union shared about the various schemes members could benefit from. SMOU kept the ship’s crew up to speed with the Seafarers’ Provident Fund withdrawal period which has been extended to December 2021, and urged them to spread the word around among their shipmates.
