As part of the SGUnited Jobs and Skills initiative, SkillsFuture Singapore and Wavelink Maritime Institute (WMI) collaborated on a Maritime Industry Careers Webinar to highlight the career opportunities available in Singapore’s maritime sector.

Held on 11 August, the webinar provided participants with an overview of the maritime industry, insights into the upcoming developments, and the various career pathways available for jobseekers. The session also included a dialogue with industry professionals. Capt Stanley Siaw from CMA Ships Singapore and Capt Lee Sang Chiat from WMI shared how seafaring is an excellent entry pathway into the myriad of jobs available in Maritime Singapore.

Webinar participants were thoroughly engaged by the speakers’ candid views from their seafaring experiences and perspectives of future skills and industry developments in the maritime sector.
