Ms Yeo Zi Jun, a newly joined member of SMOU, passed away at the age of 29 due to cardiorespiratory failure. Ms Yeo had joined SMOU through Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)with PACC Ship Managers. In memory of the late Ms Yeo, the family shared that she was last sailing with PACC Ship Managers as a 2nd Officer and that their family had a history of sailing as well. PACC has also reached out to offer compassionate support to the family to cope with their loss.”
SMOU General Secretary Mary Liew presented the NTUC GIFT Insurance, NTUC Group Term Insurance payouts, and care pack to Ms Yeo Zi Jun’s mother, Chua Ching Kek and her younger sister, Yeo Hui Yu. SMOU offers our deepest condolences to Ms Yeo’s family during this time.
