A long-time member of SMOU for 38 years, the late Pangkat Kostan Samosir passed away a the age of 96 due to Pneumonia. In remembrance of the late Mr Samosir, SMOU President Rahim Jaffar visited the family of the deceased member to offer condolences and to present the SMOU Death Benefit Payout.

The family shared that he was an avid seafarer, working until the rank of Chief Officer in the 1960s. He was also an active member in SMOU, participating in the union’s activities and events
