SMOU hosted its annual Lunar New Year Golf League at Orchid Country Club on 1 February for more than 80 players. Golfers arrived before noon and were presented with the SMOU goodie bag filled with Hong Bao packet, carrier bag, mandarin oranges, a tube of golf balls and snacks.
The golfers enjoyed the breezy weather whilst enjoying their lunch that SMOU organised for them before heading out for their game. Slightly before 5pm, golfers started streaming back after their game and headed into the Emerald Suite where they caught up with one another over some refreshments.
A buffet dinner was served and LoHei was prepared for them to toss before dinner commenced. After which, results from the golf tournament were announced and presented out by Mr Yong Soon Huat, SMOU Treasurer and Capt Robin Foo, SMOU Executive Committee member to the golf league and novelty prize winners.
The night ended with a lucky draw, where the top 3 names were drawn and presented by SMOU Assistant Treasurer Mr Tan Geh Ting. It was a fun-filled day for members to bond and catch up over a game of golf.
