Over 60 youth leaders and activists from NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations and the Youth Content Creator Circle, including SMOU Executive Committee members Brother Benjamin Yip and Brother Koo Wei Loon, as well as Young SMOU Chairman Brother Dominic Yong, attended the annual Youth Campus organised by Young NTUC (YNTUC) on 26 October 2024.

With the theme “Bridging Connections”, the Youth Campus kickstarted with an opening address by YNTUC Executive Secretary Natasha Choy. The programme at the Orchid Country Club featured a quest challenge around the club grounds, curated to encourage bonding and networking among the youths while learning more about the Labour Movement’s works. Through the activities, Brother Benjamin and Brother Wei Loon had the opportunity to meet other fellow young unionists and shared about their work as seafarers.

In his capacity as the Young NTUC 10th term Chair, Brother Dominic moderated a fireside chat session, joined by NTUC Secretary General, Brother Ng Chee Meng and NTUC Assistant Secretary General, Brother Desmond Choo. Attendees engaged in dialogue on key workplace concerns youths face when transiting from study to work and challenges faced by youth today.

The Youth Campus 2024 fostered meaningful connections among the youth leaders and activists, providing a platform to discuss workplace challenges and share experiences. With its engaging activities and impactful dialogues, the session inspired collaboration and strengthened the voices of youth within the Labour Movement.
