Led by Capt. Patrick, a knowledgeable lecturer from WMI, the children were introduced to the basics of maritime navigation and how to operate a ship. The children were able to “sail” different vessels, from small boats to large ships, and faced a variety of challenges, including shifting weather conditions. It was a hands-on lesson in what it takes to command a vessel and make crucial decisions while at sea.

The day provided the children with a profound insight. At the end of the programme they were buzzing with excitement, eagerly recounting their virtual voyages to their parents, who were equally thrilled by their newfound interest in the world of sailing.
