On 1 June, SMOU members, their families, maritime guests and children from My First Skool at Jalan Sultan gathered at Adventure Cove Waterpark for SMOU Family Day 2025. The event brought together over 3,500 attendees for a day of bonding and leisure.
Upon arrival, families were welcomed by volunteers and received goodie bags with practical items such as a portable blender, waterproof phone pouch and an eco-friendly water bag.
SMOU General Secretary Sister Mary Liew and Emeritus General Secretary Brother Thomas Tay were present at the entrance to greet guests and catch up with members and shipping partners, setting a warm tone for the day.
Families explored the waterpark at their own pace, from enjoying the calm of the lazy river to trying out the slides. Fringe activities at The Grotto added to the day’s experience, with the nostalgic Tikam station and Gachapon capsule machines offering simple moments of fun. Nearby, many paused at the SMOU photo wall to capture a keepsake from the day.
While the park was lively, the event also gave members a chance to slow down and spend time with loved ones outside of their usual routines.
SMOU Family Day continues to be a platform for connection bringing members together to enjoy shared time in a casual, family-friendly setting.
