SMOU C.U.R.E. Cocktail Dinner 2026: Stronger Together

Strong partnerships are at the heart of a thriving shipping world.

The SMOU Company Union Rapport Exercise (C.U.R.E.) Cocktail Dinner 2026 brought around 160 tripartite partners, stakeholders and friends of SMOU to Lighthouse Bistro on 7 August for an evening of fellowship and networking. With National Day around the corner, the event provided a timely platform to deepen ties and reaffirm commitment to the growth and success of our country.

Ms Mary Liew, General Secretary of SMOU, highlighted the importance of partnership and open dialogue across the maritime ecosystem. As the industry navigates new opportunities and challenges, close cooperation among unions, employers and stakeholders remains essential to building a resilient and sustainable sector.

In commemoration of the Singapore spirit, guests joined the chorus in singing “Home”, creating a defining moment of unity and pride.

A commemorative cake-cutting ceremony, led by leaders and distinguished guests, further marked the occasion and recognised the community’s contributions.

The festivities continued with a distinctly local dinner spread, giving guests opportunities to connect, exchange perspectives, and forge stronger ties.
