The much-anticipated SMOU Annual Bowling Challenge struck again for its 18th edition on 23 August 2025 at the Orchid Bowl @ Orchid Country Club!
Bringing together 136 participants, including SMOU members, their families, shipping industry friends, and our tripartite partner MPA. The event was more than just a bowling tournament. It was a lively showcase of tripartite spirit, friendly competition, and laughter all around.
With 34 teams hitting the lanes, the event promised and delivered plenty of bonding, networking, and pin action. Guest-of-Honour Mr Ang Wee Keong, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), kickstarted the games with a ceremonial roll-off, sending the first pins tumbling and setting the tone for a lively day of strikes, spares, and smiles.
As pins tumbled and scores climbed, the energy continued to soar. The air was buzzing with excitement during the team lucky draw, where winners were called out one after another, sparking cheers and laughter from the crowd. The prizes added to the fun, keeping spirits high well before the final scores were revealed.
When it was time to crown the champions, everyone was filled with anticipation. Winners were celebrated with loud applause as officials from SMOU and our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Ang, joined in presenting the prizes. The celebrations concluded on a joyful note, with the top lucky draw winners leaving with big smiles, marking a perfect conclusion to a fun and successful day.
The day was more than just a tournament—it was about friendship, teamwork, and creating memories that will last far beyond the lanes. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the lanes for the next SMOU Bowling Challenge!
