SMOU is proud to share that Assistant General Secretary Gwee Guo Duan was part of the team to receive the MOT Minister’s Innovation Award – Distinguished Award for The Singapore Crew Change Framework and Guidebook during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The guidebook, led by Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) Executive Director Michael Phoon, paved the way for a safe crew change to take place in Singapore. This has in turn helped to ensure shipping operations and global supply chains were able to continue amid the pandemic in Singapore to and from the rest of the world.
