It was an unforgettable day for SMOU members and guests as we set sail on a cinematic adventure with Disney’s Moana 2 at Golden Village Vivocity on 1 December!
The event brought together over 500 attendees, filling two theatre halls with excitement and laughter. Among the audience were SMOU members, staff from NTUC Health, families, and beneficiaries from the White Cane Club and Mission to Seafarers Singapore (MtSS). Everyone was ready to embark on a thrilling new journey with Moana, Maui, and their adventurous crew exploring the far seas of Oceania.
From the stunning animation to the heartwarming storyline and catchy soundtrack, the movie had everyone glued to their seats.
Before the show, SMOU Vice President Siti Ainul Nellisa Mohamad and Assistant General Secretary Mohd Farhan Mohd Fadillah mingled with members and guests, adding a personal touch to the event. Families and children had a blast taking photos at the Moana-themed backdrop, capturing memories of this special day.
The maritime theme of Moana 2 was a perfect fit for the occasion, reminding us of the spirit of adventure that runs deep in our community. Events like these are not just about enjoying a good movie—they’re about bringing people together, fostering connections, and creating moments that matter.
Representative of the White Cane Club, Yong Qing shared that “Thanks to SMOU, our clients got the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a meaningful movie about belonging and kinship. Our clients were also able to unwind and spend leisure time with their caregivers through this activity. We appreciate SMOU’s support for persons with vision impairment and their families.”
